Dragon*Con Has a Professional Photographer for the Fans!


Located in the Marriott Marquis, Ninh T. Chau, owner of Imagez Photography will have an assortment of sci-fi/fantasy themed backgrounds for you and your friends to take your commem-orative photograph against. Using the same technology as the movie industry for "green screening," backgrounds are only limited by your imagination. Expect to see sci-fi, movies, comics, gaming, steampunk, and more. In addition to the Green Screen set, we will also have a wall-size 3-D Dragon*Con logo.

Cost: 1st print (6×8) is $25 (comes in commemorative 25th anniversary Dragon*Con folder). Each subsequent print is $15.

Join BBC AMERICA for a Dragon*Con exclusive screening of the new Doctor Who episode “Night Terrors” written by Mark Gatiss. Doctor Who, which delivered record ratings for BBC AMERICA, premieres Saturdays at 9/8c on BBC AMERICA’s Supernatural Saturday. In this episode, the Doctor receives a distress call from the scariest place in the Universe. A child’s bedroom. Terrified of the monsters in his cupboard, George’s pleas for help break through the barriers of all time and space. But allaying his fears won’t be easy, even for the Doctor, because George’s monsters are real. This fall, all Doctor Who episodes will premiere on BBC AMERICA the same day as they air in the UK. FUZE at the Masquerade

The Dragon*Con Masquerade Costume Contest dates back nearly five decades in Sci-Fi fandom and is the largest costume contest in the Southeast and one of the largest in the world!

This year FUZE is sponsoring a new aspect of the contest. If your costume is a “fusion” of two or more cultures then you qualify for the FUZE portion of the contest. An example of a qualifying costume would be a stormtrooper decked out as Elvis, a Klingon posing as Superman, Harry Potter morphed into a Zombie, etc.

The winner of the FUZE aspect of the contest will win an iPad 2!

So come to the Masquerade decked out in your best FUZED costume!


The Hilton Atlanta Hotel Has Limited Rooms Available!

This year we are moving VIP badge pickup to room L508 in the Marriott. Now you will be right smack dab in the middle of the convention. Better yet, you won’t have to fight the crowds in registration. VIP badge pick up will open at 3:00 pm on Thursday.


This year Dragon*Con will host a professional photographer for the fans!

Ninh T. Chau is the Owner of Imagez Photography (Atlanta-based full service photographic company). He is a graduate of the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and former lead photographer for the Walt Disney Company. NTC’s extensive experience in event photography makes him the premier choice in Atlanta and surrounding cities. Known as "the photographer to the stars" for his lengthy list of celebrity clients, NTC can often be seen at the next "big deal."

Dolphins + Dragons = FUN!!!

AT&T Dolphin Tales is now open and you have the chance to experience it at Dragon*Con! The world’s largest aquarium’s biggest expansion yet includes an incredible new gallery, theater, and show. Dolphin Tales is dedicated to creating memorable connections between humans and animals and helping guests better understand one of mankind’s favorite aquatic animals, the majestic dolphin.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Sep 3rd from 7:00PM-11:00PM. Advance tickets are $18.00 per person and after Aug 31st will go up to $20.00 per person.

All of the Georgia Aquarium’s main exhibits will be available! We will also have special guests and entertainment during this unique experience and the food court and cash bars will be available as well. Shuttle buses will also be provided.
